Some differences between the previous class and ours was the emphasis on television as opposed to us; where services like Netflix and Hulu decreased that. Personally, I wasn't interested in television at all so this is glaring difference between the average and myself. Also, the lack of social media meant that there was another difference between the two generations. This difference could be attributed to the fact that social media hadn't really blown up back then and therefor wasn't relevant in the student's eyes. 

Some similarities include science fiction and gaming, both of which pervaded "nerd culture" then and now while also being personal favorites of my own. They've stayed relevant this entire time and probably will continue being relevant in the future.
